Expand keywords
Grow profitable coverage — harvest first, then silo discovery and ideation verified against App Store demand.
Once the Search Match harvest is running, expand deliberately. Expansion adds coverage you don't yet have, in structured silos, verified against real App Store demand rather than guessed.
Order of operations
Harvest before you ideate
Proven search terms are the highest-signal source. Exhaust the harvest before inventing new keywords — a term Apple already matched to an install beats any idea.
Discover silos from your own terms
Group the queries that already convert into themes (brand, competitor, category, feature). Over
MCP, asa_discover_search_term_silos surfaces these clusters from your warehouse.
Ideate, then verify against demand
Extend each silo with new candidates (asa_ideate_keyword_silos), then check them against App
Store search demand with asa_suggest_keywords / asa_score_keywords. Keep the ones with real
volume; drop the rest before spending on them.
Add with the right match type
Add proven, specific terms as EXACT for precision; use BROAD as a controlled discovery net in its own ad group. Batches of ≤10 EXACT keywords at reasonable bids auto-apply; the rest queue.
Respect the caps: 5,000 keywords per campaign and per ad group (negatives included). Don't pour a BROAD net into an ad group you also use for precise EXACT bidding — split them.
Where the tools live
Reads and scoring are in the MCP Reference → Setup & growth tools; adds go through the write tools and the safe-apply policy.
